PGCIL NR -1 Recruitment: Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has published a recruitment notification for the post of posts of Diploma Trainee (Electrical) and Diploma Trainee(Civil). Interested and Eligible candidates having a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineer or Civil Engineering can apply online on or before 16 December 2019.

PGCIL NR - 1 Diploma Trainee Vacancy Details:

• Diploma Trainee (Electrical): 30 (UR-14,OBC-07,SC-06,SC-01,EWS-02)
• Diploma Trainee (Civil): 5 (UR-03,OBC-01,SC-01)

Educational Qualification:
Diploma Trainee (Electrical): Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/ST candidates and pass marks for SC.

Diploma Trainee (Civil): Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST candidates.
Note: Higher Qualification of B.Tech/B.E in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from recognized Technical Board/Institute with 65% marks or more shall not be a bar for applying for the post of Diploma Trainee.

Age Limit:
For General/EWS Candidates - 27 years

For OBC(NCL) Candidates - 30 years

For SC/ST Candidates - 32 years 

Selection Process:
Only Written Test/Computer Based Test shall be conducted.

Exam Pattern:
The Written Test shall be of Objective type (each question shall have four options) of two hours duration consisting of two parts –
(a) Part-I consists of Technical Knowledge Test/Professional Knowledge Test (TKT/PKT) with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.
(b) Part-II consists of Aptitude Test (AT) with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc.

Note: All questions would be MCQ type with 4 options and carry equal weightage (1 mark each). Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼. Candidates shall have the option for appearing in the Written Test in Hindi or English.

Application Fee:
General/ OBC - 300 RS 

Note: SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates need not pay the Application Fee regardless of the post being reserved for them or not.

Test Centers:
The Computer Based Test shall be held at the following Test Centers:
1. Delhi 2. Jaipur (Rajasthan) 3. Dehradun (Uttarakhand)
